School Lunches

We were recently contacted by Wattana and Damien who are students from Mr Webb's class at Melville Intermediate School asking us for our help. The student councillors at their school are looking to change their canteen menu. They are asking schools in New Zealand and around the world to send in their menu's so they can compare lunches.

At our school we have a cafeteria where we have allocated times for lunch. Our lunch is from 11:20 - 11:45. Not all the students buy from the cafeteria as some bring their lunch from home. We responded to their request and sent a copy of our menu to their class.

After reading Room 5's post we clicked on some of the other schools that sent in their menu.  The class were interested in seeing what other schools offered for lunch.   At one school the class saw some familiar foods and came across lamingtons and were wondering what it kind of food it was.

This also made us think about the selections we have at our school. We look forward to following Mr Webb's class and making some of our own comparisons.
